Doctors
Perth has many excellent physicians and surgeons, including specialists of all kinds. All residential areas are served by general practitioners (G.P.), who provide a wide variety of routine and preventative medical care. Some G.P.'s make house calls after hours and on weekends. Before seeing a specialist, it is customary to receive a referral from your family doctor or G.P. Most specialists have both private offices and consulting rooms located in Medical Centers attached to the main teaching hospitals.
