Immigrant Visa Fees

Revised Schedule of Consular Fees for Immigrant, Diversity and K Visa Applicants

Effective January 1, 2008, applicants for all categories of immigrant visas, including diversity visas and non-immigrant K visas are required to pay new fees. All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and must be paid on the day of your interview. All U.S. Consular fees worldwide are established in U.S. dollars (USD). For a complete list of U.S. immigrant and nonimmigrant visa fees please refer to travel.state.gov.

The new schedule of fees is as follows:

Immigrant Visa (IV) Applicants
IV Application US $355.00 per visa applicant
IV Security Surcharge US $45.00 per visa applicant
Total US $400.00 per visa applicant
Diversity Visa (DV) Applicants
DV Application US $355.00 per visa applicant
DV Process Surcharge US $375.00 per visa applicant
DV Security Surcharge US $45.00 per visa applicant
Total US $775.00 per visa applicant
Returning Resident Status (SB-1)
SB-1 Application US $400.00 per visa applicant
K1, K2, K3 & K4 Applicants

The new fee is US $131.00 Applicants who paid the prior US $100 before January 1, 2008, will be processed only if they are scheduled and appear for a visa interview before January 31. Applicants who paid the prior US $100 application fee and appear for the visa interview after January 31, 2008 must pay the difference — US $31.00 before they can be interviewed.
